Hello! My name is Erin, I am currently a first year medical student at the University of Birmingham. As a tutor, my main aim is to quickly determine a students weaknesses, then create a dedicated study plan to help them improve in those areas. I believe that active recall, spaced repetition, and lots and lots of past paper questions - are the key to success! I am well versed in tutoring students of all ages; I have tutored various students ranging from ages 6 to 16 in a variety of different settings. I am also experienced in entrance exam tutoring. Having sat several entrance exams over my lifetime, I understand how to make a study plan that is both time efficient and effective, and how to utilise this study plan effectively. I have previously mentored students who wish to study medicine through UCAS, entrance exam and interview preparation; several of them currently study at top universities, including Oxford and Cambridge! I am a third year medical student at Imperial College London, who also attended Queen Elizabeth's Boys' School. Whilst being a student, who's done his 11+, GCSEs and A-levels, I had to came up with new techniques to try and break down complex topics into smaller and simpler topics. I would love to pass on this knowledge, that I have gained through my experiences, onto younger students who are currently going through the processes that I did.
