Hi! My name is Anushka Thomas and I am a second year Biomedical Science BSc Student at King's College London. I am specialising in Immunology and Infectious Disease and am particularly interested in drug discovery and public health. I am really passionate about studying and communicating science in a clear and engaging way! Attended Northampton High School (GDST) where I obtained 99998 in GCSE Chemistry, Biology, Physics, English language and Maths. I then went on to complete A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I have completed Year 1 of my undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science where I studied the following modules: Anatomy, Physiology, Molecular Genetics, Biochemistry, Cell Biology and Neuroscience, Chemistry and Pharmacology. In my second year I plan to specialise in Immunology and Infectious disease where I will be studying modules such as Cancer Cell Biology, Drug Discovery and Development as well as Medical Microbiology. Hello! My name is Erin, I am currently a first year medical student at the University of Birmingham. As a tutor, my main aim is to quickly determine a students weaknesses, then create a dedicated study plan to help them improve in those areas. I believe that active recall, spaced repetition, and lots and lots of past paper questions - are the key to success! I am well versed in tutoring students of all ages; I have tutored various students ranging from ages 6 to 16 in a variety of different settings. I am also experienced in entrance exam tutoring. Having sat several entrance exams over my lifetime, I understand how to make a study plan that is both time efficient and effective, and how to utilise this study plan effectively. I have previously mentored students who wish to study medicine through UCAS, entrance exam and interview preparation; several of them currently study at top universities, including Oxford and Cambridge! In my spare time, I am a highly creative person - I frequently attend dance classes, I music direct/conduct my university choir, and I scrapbook! I also love to read :) Currently attending the University of Birmingham Medical School - 1st year, Medicine.
