Hi, I’m Safoora, currently a third-year medical student with a strong passion for education across a range of subjects. Medicine has taught me not just the importance of hard work, but also how to communicate complex ideas clearly and patiently — skills I bring into my tutoring sessions. I tutor GCSE Biology, chemistry, combined science and psychology, as well as KS3 and KS2 Science. I understand that subjects like biology and chemistry can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I focus on breaking down difficult concepts into manageable, straightforward steps tailored to how each student learns best. I’m genuinely passionate about helping students build confidence and develop a deeper understanding so they’re fully prepared to tackle any challenges they face in exams. I believe learning should be interactive, engaging, and relevant, so I work to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Outside of my studies, I enjoy reading and keeping fit, which help me maintain balance and stay motivated. I received my early education at different primary schools, which provided me with a strong academic foundation. I then completed my GCSEs and pursued A‑levels. In Maths, I enjoy working through difficult questions, and using my problem solving skills to reach the answer. My hobbies include reading and writing, ice skating, and anything creative. I have worked with young people previously, volunteering as a Young Leader and, more recently, a Unit Helper in Girlguiding. I was also a reading ‘Super-tutor’ in my school’s reading programme, designed to help Year 7 students boost their confidence and skill in reading, meaning I would step in to cover for any tutors who were absent when they planned to meet with their assigned tutee, and I oversaw the running of the programme as a whole.
