Hi! I'm a student at the University of Bristol studying a degree in Mathematics and Physics. Studying maths at a degree level means I am constantly working with complex mathematical concepts everyday, and I plan to bring that depth of understanding when tutoring GSCE and A-level Maths. I have around a year experience in tutoring GSCE Maths, which has helped me develop a clear and effective teaching style. Also, having completed my A-levels during 2025 summer and achieving an A and also a grade 8 in GSCE Mathematics, I have a strong understanding of exam content and also effective advice for revision, ensuring student success in exams. I focus on breaking down hard topics into simple clear explanations , helping to build understanding, student confidence and also exam technique through practice. I will tailor each lesson based on the students individual needs, ensuring they feel supported and make progress. I am patient, relatable and also very committed in helping students achieve the best of their potential. I studied my GSCEs in Chatham Grammar School, achieving grade 8 in GSCE Mathematics. I then went on to study a levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics at Rainham Grammar School, achieving a grade A in Edexcel Mathematics. I am now currently a first year, going onto second year, studying a BSc Mathematics and Physics at University of Bristol

Hi. I'm Ade, and I have been tutoring successfully for over 7 years now, with over 100 students (over 3 years on GoStudent with over 40 students), Grades 7 to 12, GCSE, and A-Levels. I have a Bachelors degree in Geophysics, a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Education, and I'm currently doing a 2nd Degree in Mathematics. I keep my lessons simple, with a focus on consistent practice. I also tailor my lessons to fit the student and get the best out of them. Simply put, I help you understand the foundations of the concepts you're trying to learn, and we'll do lots of practice. I specialize in building students skill and confidence in facing and solving problems. I'm pretty good at it because I am always learning new things myself, so I never forget what it's like be a semi-beginner, and I tend to relate very well with my students experience. This helps me communicate very effectively and support them unconditionally, all the while holding them to high expectations (based on their ability). I am a learner, and I am very good at helping others learn. I look forward to hearing from you! I obtained my first degree in the physical sciences: a Bachelors degree in Geophysics. I adapt lesson style and content to your needs. We can go through specific subject areas, study skills and exam skills as required. I can vary how the material is delivered according to the situation and what works for you. I will teach and do lecture notes where appropriate, or take a more "coaching" style if that suits you and the situation better. We can even do more seminar/discussion style lessons as you become more comfortable with the material. At the heart of all of the above is making sure that we are working together so that you can achieve your goals. I know that you are probably already having lessons in school or at home, and my goal will be to complement those existing lessons rather than replacing them so that you can get the best value out of our time together. Specialisms: I am able to cover all aspects of the curriculum but I am particularly focused on skills. Psychology is a little different to other subjects covered at A-Level - not only do students have to learn a lot of information and produce it under exam conditions, but there is also a need to analyze and evaluate what has been learned so that they can write clearly, concisely and insightfully about that information. As well as teaching the syllabus content, I can help improve a student's thinking and writing skills so that they can go into exams with more confidence. I have also developed my coaching skills so work with students to help them improve their own problem-solving capabilities so that they can identify how they can study more effectively. A bit about me: I'm a PhD-qualified tutor who, over the course of my career, spent time working as a researcher, consultant and analyst across different industries. In all of those other roles, the part I enjoyed most was training, teaching and coaching people, so I am working towards making that my full-time career. Working in industry has taught me the importance of always turning up prepared and ready to work, using clear, prompt and honest communication and making sure that whoever I am working with knows that I am working in their best interests. The same will apply when we work together. In my spare time I love to play football and follow a lot of sport. I am learning to play guitar (very slowly) and enjoy listening to music, going to gigs when the opportunity arises. I love learning and am always doing some course or another - I'm currently studying to teach English as a foreign language and working towards accredited coach status.
