Hi there. James here, from South Africa. I taught in London in Walthamstow for my probationary year in 1991, and then in Johannesburg and Kwazulu-Natal in South Africa for a total of 21 years. I have taught Cambridge A Level History and England and South Africa's English and History curricula. I am also a published researcher, poet, and author. I enjoy cross-country running. I like NETFLIX mystery series. I regularly get out wilderness walking and cross country swimming. Since February 2025, I tutor English and Religious Studies for GoStudent. I battled with learning difficulties at school. However, I did very well after school, because I knew that English opens doors. So, I set goals. Then I achieved a B.A (1985) and a B. Ed (1996) degree, at Wits University in Johannesburg. I did a Masters Degree in Theology (Regent College, Vancouver, B.C., 2001) and a PhD in Church History (University of KwaZulu-Natal, 2016). I believe education is a lifelong journey. We master English every day for the rest of our lives. So I'm still learning as I tutor GCSE students, A Level students, and juniors, to reach their highest goals.

I’m a second-year Biomedical Science student at St George’s, University of London, tutoring Maths and Science (Biology, Physics and Chemistry) for KS3 and GCSE students. I focus on simplifying difficult topics, building confidence, and helping students achieve their academic goals. Hi! I’m Laureen Caitlin, a passionate Math tutor dedicated to helping students aged 11–18 build confidence and actually enjoy problem-solving. Math doesn’t have to be scary, and I’m here to prove that! I love breaking down complex ideas into simple, easy-to-understand steps, making every lesson feel achievable and even fun. Seeing students go from “I don’t get it” to “I got it!” is what I love most about teaching. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy singing and exploring new hobbies which helps me bring positive energy and creativity into my lessons. I hold a Master of Arts in Education major in Mathematics from Far Eastern University and a PhD in Educational Leadership from Universidad de Dagupan. With years of teaching and tutoring experience, I specialize in guiding high school learners to master mathematical concepts with clarity, patience, and a student-centered approach. I am passionate about building confidence in learners and helping them develop a deeper understanding of Mathematics through structured, engaging, and supportive instruction.

I’m currently a medical student and I really like passing my knowledge to young people and helping them achieve the goals that they want. I aspire to create a safe, friendly environment for students, where they can ask me for help whenever. With a deep passion for education, I strive to instil not only knowledge but also critical thinking skills and confidence in my students. I attended Southend High School for Girls and completed my GCSEs there. For A levels,I moved to Southend High School for Boys. Currently i am a medical student at the University of Nottingham. I have about a year of tutoring experience from beforehand, and i have worked at ExploreLearning for a few months.
