I have been a tutor for 2 years, specialising in Maths and English, but I am comfortable teaching a range of subjects. I am in my second year of university studying Law, which has given me many skills such as attention to detail and a strong work ethic. I transfer these qualities to tutoring, and my priority is helping students excel in their studies by providing effective and engaging lessons that tailor to each child's needs. I completed my GCSEs in The Abbey School and my A levels in Kendrick School, achieving results of a high standard that I was proud of. I am a calm, friendly GCSE and SATS English Literature and Language tutor who wants to help students grow in confidence and achieve the top grades. I completed a 10,000-word project on the 2010 BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill, analysing the systemic factors that caused the disaster and engaging with topics such as environmental regulation, corporate accountability and sustainability. This strengthened my skills in independent research, planning, structuring arguments and writing in a clear, persuasive style. I am now progressing to a Master’s in Social Science Research at Loughborough University, where I will be further developing advanced skills in essay writing, academic reading and detailed analysis. Across my education, I have built strong experience in breaking down complex pieces of writing, identifying key ideas and explaining them in simple, accessible ways.
