As a current university student, I understand the challenges of academic work and exams. I hope to instil resilience and confidence in students by offering clear explanations, practical study strategies and focused support tailored to each students goals. My sessions are structured but friendly and help students feel comfortable whilst making real progress. I graduated Secondary School with 3 A Levels: English Literature (A*), Politics and Government (A*), History of Art (A) and and Extended Project Qualification (A). I am currently a student of the Dual BA Program between Trinity College Dublin and Columbia University meaning I am working on two BA degrees (one from each institution) simultaneously over four years. Both degrees are in English Literature but I hope to minor in History of Art for my Columbia degree.

I’m someone who really enjoys learning and helping others do the same. I’m patient, reliable, and always happy to explain things in a way that makes sense. I like creating a relaxed, no-pressure vibe where people feel comfortable asking questions. Whether it’s going over the basics or tackling trickier topics, I’m here to help and make things easier to understand. I successfully completed my A Levels with excellent grades, particularly in science subjects, which sparked my interest in healthcare. I am currently a first-year dental student, pursuing my studies with a strong foundation in academic excellence and a passion for oral health and patient care.

I’m an ESL teacher with eight years of experience, and I genuinely enjoy helping students become more confident in using English. Over the years, I’ve worked with different types of learners, so I’ve learned how to adjust my teaching style depending on what my students need. Outside the classroom, I volunteer in my community, especially working with youth. This is something very important to me because I believe education can really change lives. It also helped me become more patient, understanding, and connected to the real challenges students face. I’m very interested in learning more about education and social issues. I like reading books and doing my own research because I want to improve not just as a teacher, but also as a person. I try to bring these insights into my lessons so they feel more meaningful and relatable. I also love traveling because it helps me experience different cultures and perspectives, which I think is important when teaching language. As a person, I’m goal-oriented and organized, but I also try to stay flexible depending on the situation. I always reflect on my teaching and look for ways to improve. My main goal is to support my students, help them grow, and make learning English something they feel confident and comfortable with. As a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English, I am passionate about helping students discover the power of language and develop their confidence in expressing themselves. Teaching, for me, is not just about lessons—it’s about inspiring curiosity, encouraging critical thinking, and connecting learning to students’ everyday lives. I love making English engaging by sharing stories, reading books, and exploring creative ways for students to practice communication. Beyond the classroom, I enjoy volunteering in my community to support youth, which has taught me patience, empathy, and the importance of understanding each learner’s needs. I also love traveling, which broadens my perspective and allows me to bring new ideas and cultural insights into my teaching. I am committed to continuous growth as an educator, exploring new strategies and researching ways to make learning meaningful and relevant. My goal is to help students not only succeed academically but also develop confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love for learning. Hi! I'm Nanaki and I'm currently in my final year at the University of Warwick. During my A Levels I studied Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Chemistry.
