Hello, I am a stop motion animator and aspiring filmmaker based in Scotland. Stop motion has allowed me to focus on my passion for storytelling and combines my love of literature, theatre and art. I absolutely adore stories: reading them, watching them, and capturing them myself. I am dyslexic and it has taken me time to develop all of the studying tips and tricks that I now have the privilege to share with others. I’m also a keen gardener, baker and painter. I have a first class joint honours Master of Arts in English literature and Film & Visual Culture from the University of Aberdeen. I was given the Seafield medal for English and the Film 23’ prize for my dissertation. I also studied Geology, Geography and Ecology as elective subjects at university. I also recently completed the Aardman Academy animation courses SM1 and SM2. I did GCSE’s and IGCSE’s followed by the International Baccalaureate at St Leonard’s High School and attended the Royal Conservatoire Juniors Production program alongside. Medicine reject at A-level who decided to pursue biomedical sciences instead to explore several career routes in science. Upon further exploration through experiences in healthcare, decided to give medicine one more chance as a postgraduate degree and recieved an offer from Oxford for medicine. Interests include music, gaming and travelling. Tutoring GCSE and A-level Maths and Sciences for over 4 years helping over 40 students achieve their dream grades with a mean result improvement of 2 grades. I also assist in UK medical school admissions tests, personal statement writing and interviews (Oxbridge included). My teaching style heavily revolves around putting methods to practise by attempting several exam questions during lesson time. The goal is to familiarise yourself with exam techniques to the point where exam questions do not startle you. After moving to the UK in 2015, I pursued my GCSEs which I completed in 2019, achieving five 9s, four 8s and two 7s with 9s in Maths and Sciences. I realised my passion for science and decided to pursue Biology, Chemistry and Maths for A-levels where I achieved 3A*s. My name is Charlie and i would love to help you feel more confident in your efforts to learn english to a higher level. I will tell you a brief story of why i am an english teacher. I am originally from England. I have lived in England all my life and was born there , i have also studied in 4 different schools and one college also. I have also been working secularly since i was 17 in a joiners shop making furniture. Since covid began and my boss retired i started working as a handyman and being my own boss. Then I met a girl from Spain called Sora, we began talking everyday. Now we are married and living in Tarragona in Spain. Here in Spain i have been teaching English conversation. Helping my students by giving them practice in speaking lessons and culture lessons too. I enjoy teaching and have been doing so on donation basis in order to help my students. These lessons that i have been conducting have sharpened my teaching methods.
